There is a race of half-human/half-dragon in this world. Weredragons. They are called "Dragonlord" and humans revere them.Every one of them find their "soultiwn" but not Linden Rathan. He was the last and youngest of the Dragonlords. For a long time, there was no indication of a new Dragonlord.
One day, he was ordered to sit on a judgement seat with two other Dragonlords. They have to determin who will become the custodian for a boy-prince. It was not so difficult a task at first but things were not what they seemed to be. Once, there was an organization of anti-dragonlords. And now, they become active once more. The main target was Linden and his soultwin-to-be. Political intrigue and blood sacrifices got mixed. Same old cliches, yes, but there is just enough essence to be enjoyed. By the way, the Dragonlords do not just turn into dragons. S/He shares her/his human/dragon body with the soul of a true dragon. When they get tired of long lives, they allow their dragon soul to dominate the existance, thus becoming "true dragon." Actually, the last name is the dragon's name. Dragons and love story... with a bit of court intrigue...
